If gambling is the lifeblood of Vegas, then Binion's
Horseshoe is the heart that pumps it. Known for taking
the largest bets in the world, Binion's is one of the
most famous old casinos in Las Vegas. A throwback to
the original hard-living, hard-playing old Vegas of
the '50s, Binion's has prided itself on being the place
for gamblers and high-rollers.

The casino is the main attraction here, and its old-school
décor is part of its enduring charm. The 50,000
square foot casino features a race and sports book,
and over 1,400 slot, video poker and keno machines,
as well as a wide variety of table games including baccarat,
craps, roulette and of course, poker. Poker is what
its all about here folks, and with good reason. The
Horseshoe hosts the annual World Series of Poker and
the Poker Hall of Fame Classic. The contests draw many
celebrities and if you're lucky, you might pick up some
tips from some of the best poker players in the world.
The hotel also hosts an annual slot tournament that
pays out $50,000 five times a year.
Since gambling is the main focus here, the rooms are
almost an afterthought. The West Horseshoe, a 26-story
tower, has modern, medium-sized rooms, while the older
eastside rooms have a Western theme, featuring Victorian-style
wallpaper and brass beds with quilted spreads. But if
you're staying here, you're spending most of your time
in the gaming area, so the rooms are more than adequate.
But if you require some down time, the rooftop swimming
pool is a great way to unwind after spending the day
in the casino.
All that gambling can work up an appetite and when it
comes to dining, Binion's does not disappoint. There
are four restaurants including Binion's Ranch Steak
House, the Asian-themed Gee Jon and Binion's Coffee
Shop. The coffee shop has been serving one of the best
late-night steak dinners for years.
If you're one of the unfortunate souls who's lost money
at the tables, or slots for that matter, Binion's Horseshoe
has great service, comfortable rooms and great food
to make sure you come out ahead.
A scion of Old Vegas, Binion's is a player's resort
with a casino that's been a favorite of poker aficionados
for years. Throw in great food and comfortable rooms
and you have winner.
Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, Binion's
Horseshoe does its level best to preserve this town's
hard-won reputation as a place for gamblers and high-rollers.
The nearby Fremont Street Experience endeavors to make
Las Vegas a kind of amusement park, but the Horseshoe
continues with business as usual. This is a hotel-casino
for adults.
Binion's 50,000-square-foot casino hosts both the World
Series of Poker and the Hall of Fame Poker Classic annually.
Caribbean stud and Pai Gow poker, Mini Baccarat, roulette,
craps, race and sports books and Keno also are on hand,
among many other gaming diversions. The pool area is
located on the 25th floor, affording a view of downtown
and the Strip.
It's worth noting that one of the best inexpensive late-night
steak dinners can be had in Binion's Horseshoe Coffee
Shop, where it has been served for years.
If you want to recall Old Vegas, Binion's Horseshoe
wants to help you. Order a martini, stake your place
at one of the Horseshoe's 42 single-deck blackjack tables
and make this your joint.
