...and video poker machines, more than 70 table games
including blackjack, craps, baccarat, roulette, Let
It Ride, Caribbean stud poker and mini-baccarat, and
houses a keno lounge and full-service race and sports
book. But those with young ones should beware: the party
atmosphere is strictly for adults, and the hotel actively
discourages bringing children. You need only view the
cocktail waitresses' outfits to see that the hotel caters
heavily toward a mature clientele. Guest rooms are said
to be the largest in Vegas, because every room at the
Rio is a suite featuring a couch, coffee table, refrigerator
and other amenities. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer
dramatic views of the Las Vegas skyline, especially
from the higher floors of the 41-story tower. Of note:
windows in the guest room showers make it possible to
watch television while you wash.

Because every room is a suite, you'll find the separate
dining area a great place to hold a reception, and the
Jacuzzi tubs an even better spot to spend your first
night together. Super suites feature 1,200 square feet
of space with marble countertops in the bathrooms, a
wet bar in the dining area and a concierge at your beck
and call. Situated at the ends of the Rio's tower, the
Masquerade suites -- or 180-degree suites, as they are
often called -- allow guests dramatic views of both
The Strip and the mountains. The 1,600-square-foot suites
have full formal dining rooms with a wet bar, a master
bedroom with walk-in Jacuzzi tub and an upgraded sound
system.
Masquerade Village diverges from the rest of the party-themed
hotel by mirroring a European village, complete with
shops, restaurants and a bizarre live-action show. 'Masquerade
Show in the Sky' features three different presentations
with suspended floats and scantily clad performers lip-synching
a variety of songs. The show is best-viewed from the
second floor, and you can don costumes and ride a float
(but you have to pay for it). Offering live jazz, dancing
and a fantastic view of the Strip from 41 stories up,
the Voodoo Lounge is one of the coolest spots in town,
as is Club Rio, the hotel's state-of-the-art New York-style
dance club, which keeps guests grooving to the wee hours
of the morning.
Located just off the Strip on Flamingo Road, the Rio
offers large suites with many amenities. Entertainment
abounds with Club Rio and the VooDoo Lounge, located
51 stories above the Strip.
The vibrant red-and-purple neon towers of the Rio Hotel
and Casino host a party as vibrant as Carnaval itself.
High-energy fun is the motif here, and it hits everyone
who walks through the doors. The suspended parade floats
in the Masquerade Village's show stop frequently to
wow onlookers. A cast of "bevertainers" serves
your drinks with a smile, song and dance. State-of-the-art
discotheque Club Rio keeps visitors moving and grooving
til the wee hours. Magicians Penn & Teller, the
comic antics and singing of the Scintas and the titillating
Chippendales dancers make the Rio the home of world-class
entertainment.
The Rio's commitment to guest satisfaction has garnered
national praise. Its suite-sized rooms are among the
largest in town, with amenities ranging from a drip
coffee maker to an in-room safe. Dining is as exciting
and rich as the colorful surroundings, with a number
of fine restaurants, coffee shops, snack stands and
one of the most popular buffets in Las Vegas. The pool
looks like a tropical lagoon. Retail, fitness centers,
two wedding chapels ... everything one could want.
The party never ends at the Rio. And like the city the
hotel is named for, just one night here will fill your
soul to the fullest.
