Located near the center of the Strip, with easy access
to the Convention Center and Sands Expo Center, the
100-acre Treasure Island Resort, aka TI, is based upon
the village created by Robert Louis Stevenson in his
novel of the same name. Focusing on full-scale entertainment
rather than the standard showrooms and casino, guests
are transported to the Caribbean during the era of pirates
and dramatic sea battles. The pirate theme is pervasive
throughout the resort, which strives to replicate a
prosperous pirate kingdom. Its 36-story tower offers
2,855 rooms, including 212 suites, with spectacular
views of the city and the surrounding mountains through
their floor-to-ceiling windows. A spa, beauty salon
and health club are onsite for guests.

You can't swim in the cove where the pirate ships battle,
but the Treasure Island pool area is open and spacious,
though usually packed with a higher percentage of kids
than most Vegas resorts. Perhaps they're drawn to the
wonderful water slide, while adults can appreciate the
private cabanas.
Upon approaching Treasure Island's Sirens' Cove every
evening, guests and visitors are confronted with the
free pirate battle show, 'Sirens of TI,' running in
two-hour intervals three times each night. An updated
version of the resort's original Buccaneer Bay battle,
'Sirens' pits sexy sea creatures against renegade pirates
in an acrobatic, pyrotechnics-heavy display. For less
passive diversions, there's Mutiny Bay, an 18,000-square-foot
entertainment center offering video games, pinball and
electronically simulated rides. The resort showroom
features 'Mystere,' from Cirque du Soleil, the world
famous French-Canadian performing troupe's extravaganza
of entertainment, physical daring and intrigue. All
levels of players can enjoy the casino's table gaming
classics such as blackjack, roulette, craps, and baccarat,
or they can explore innovative new options like pai
gow poker, pai gow tiles, Caribbean stud, three-card
poker, Let It Ride, and big six. A wide variety of slot
machines are presented in a more intimate setting than
other casinos on the Strip, and the race and sports
book yields some nice-sized jackpots.
Treasure Island resort features comfortable rooms, a
variety of restaurants and the world-famous Mystère
by Cirque du Soleil.
Located next door to sister resort The Mirage, the Treasure
Island experience begins before one even gets through
the front doors. Treasure Island is famous for its live-action
Sirens of TI show, which features sexy sirens battling
pirates in an 18-minute free extravaganza.
The show is part of Treasure Island's new image as a
more adult-oriented resort. Gone is the resort's old
skull-and-swords marquee. Guests are now greeted by
the new "TI" where adults come to play.
Inside the TI is a wealth of riches, ranging from the
numerous gourmet restaurants to Mystère, the
amazing show by world-renowned performance troupe Cirque
du Soleil. The giant casino is piled with booty, promising
any would-be buccaneer a winning voyage. Two chapels
offer storybook weddings. And the guest rooms run the
gamut from modest accommodations to lavish suites worthy
of nobility.
Once you've set sail with this crew, you may never want
to return to port again.
